The Bare Bones Yoga Teacher Mentorship Program will support new and experienced teachers by providing specific modules that address common teaching challenges. Focused primarily on supporting teachers after completion of a formal Teacher Training program (although several modules are excellent for those that have yet to start a program), it is designed to support teachers in a highly customized, personal way. Teachers can select modules that provide training on a specific topic(s) and can also consider ongoing support through monthly or hourly mentoring around topics of their choosing.
As the yoga industry continues to grow, the proliferation of yoga training programs grows exponentially. While the increase provides more options, it makes the selection of a training program more challenging for aspiring teachers. Also, as studios work to meet the requirements of Yoga Alliance’s standards for 200 and 500 HR registry programs, time within these programs which is devoted to both the practical and more “hands-on” teaching topics is often skipped, either due to class size or time availability.
The goal of the Bare Bones Yoga Teacher Mentorship Program is to support new, would-be and experienced teachers with a combination of real life, practical modules on several different topics as well as modules that includes hands-on training and feedback to help you grow as a teacher. Several business modules are also included to help you navigate the increasingly complex yoga industry. Modules on teaching several specialty types of yoga, like Children and Family Yoga, are also included to provide support and basic training around these more customized programs.
Because the program is one-on-one and includes the option of monthly or hourly mentorship about topics of your choosing, it is a unique and highly personal way to support teachers in their path and growth as a teacher.
Continuing Education Credits (CEU) for Yoga Alliance

This provides the individual with the option to present questions for support on an “as-needed” basis. If one of the questions would lend itself to an existing module, that module will be presented at a discounted rate. Monthly mentorship support is provided via email and phone only; in-person mentorship sessions would be charged at an hourly fee.
Return messages via phone or email will be made within 24 hours of receipt, if not sooner.
Hours above 5 hours per month will be charged at the hourly rate (see below).
Hourly Mentorship Support
For those individuals who do not anticipate needing ongoing support or who are unsure of how much support they may need, an hourly program may be a useful option. Hourly support is at an hourly rate and support is tracked in ½ hour slots. This support is provided via email or phone. In-person mentorship sessions are charged at an hourly fee.

Hi! I was amazed and astonished when I saw this on FB! I have just started teaching , even though I have been certified since 2008. I am teaching mostly people my age and older….50 +. I am feeling good about it so far but could really use some mentoring. Is there a way to see an example of a specialty module? I think the one about working with people with certain conditions would be helpful to me as well as building a class around a theme. Your thoughts? By the way, I love your youtube videos!!! All the Best,Betsy
Betsy, so good to hear from you! Congrats on your training completion and starting to teach. I’d be glad to give you some more information. Each module will follow a basic outline, touching on key points around each topic. Since it’s a one on one experience, you get to ask as many questions as you need to, in order to make sure you not only understand, but to make it customized to meet your needs. I’ve written a number of articles and many of them touch on some of the module topics, so that can help give you an idea of some of the content presented for some modules. I will send you an individual email so we can talk further. Thanks! Karen
