It’s a common theme I hear from a number of teachers when I do anatomy trainings with both new and experienced teachers. Things like:Â
- “I want to seamlessly share anatomy with my classes”
- “I want my cues to be anatomically based versus talking only about alignment”
- ‘I want to help my students understand the reason why the cue is what it is; what’s the anatomy behind it?”
… and so on.
It’s understandable; when teachers go through their 200 hour initial training, there is so much information presented and often the details of anatomy are forgotten. Also, the variation in the industry as to who presents anatomy and what is covered is so variable the quality of knowledge is quite different from teacher to teacher. It is not uncommon for me to hear teachers complain that they didn’t get enough anatomy or it wasn’t presented well. Unfortunately, until there’s a better system in place, this variation will continue.
I get a lot of these teachers in my post 200 hour anatomy trainings and I also get a LOT of them in my online programs. My passion is sharing anatomy with teachers and finding creative ways to share it as well as helping them focus on the KEY aspects not every little thing about it, which gets overwhelming very quickly. What results can you expect if you take my flagship online program in anatomy and apply yourself to the process? You can expect:
- A better understanding of the key structural components of the body and how they work in the gross motor movements we do in yoga. Things like the associated bones, joints and muscles, their names, their location and their action
- A number of different ways to APPLY what you’ve learned above to your teaching and understand how these different parts of the body work together to create movement but also how to evaluate a student when there’s an issue that might create mis-alignment and how to correct it
- Techniques around building sequences, using myofascial release and how to give effective cues
- More impact to your teaching because your confidence will grow. From my experience, once you dispel the myth around the challenge of understanding anatomy and start using the right tools to learn it, you’ll absorb the knowledge and your confidence will grow. This will shine through in your teaching and your ability to use effective cues, think on the fly, connect with your students, come up with creative sequencing and answer students’ questions with more accuracy will explode!
There are more results you can expect and you can read the reviews on my online course preview page to see what teachers experienced who took the course. Read those here.Â
This week, only until Friday November 2nd, I’m re-launching my flagship course, called YOUR YOGA ANATOMY BLUEPRINT and adding over $500 of free bonuses to expand your learning potential. When I say “re-launch” what that means is that I’ve added two new modules; one on Cues and one on Myofascial Release. Keep in mind current course students get those new modules for free. That’s one of the advantages of buying my course. I will add to it again over time and you’ll get that new content with no additional charge.
I’ve added so many free bonuses that will really help expand your learning. There are just too many for me to list here and frankly, I want you to check out the Offer page to see what’s involved. Let me address a couple of possible objections you might have:
“I don’t have the time to take an online course.” To that, I’d simply say this: IF learning anatomy is important to you as a teacher and you can honestly assess your knowledge level right now and you’d agree that it’s less than what you’d want it to be, then you would agree there is a gap and you’d agree that taking the time to learn it would be something worth taking the time to do.
“I don’t have the money right now.” I heard some of my potential students in the last offer I made last year. They wanted a payment plan to space out the payments. I added that and it breaks the course cost up into 4 payments. That gives you more flexibility around how you pay for it.
“I’m afraid I don’t have what it takes to understand anatomy. I don’t have a medical background, I’ve tried to learn it before and the information just didn’t stick.” I work with teachers with lots of different backgrounds and levels of understanding around anatomy. The issue in my mind is in focusing you on the RIGHT areas to learn rather than giving you ALL sorts of information to comprehend. My course only shares with you the KEY information and with the free bonuses, you’ll get lots of different tools to reinforce your learning.
So, that’s my offer to you. Take charge of your learning. Learning anatomy is a life long process although there are certain pieces that you can learn to the extent that that knowledge becomes so engrained in your being that the information just “flows from you.”
Here’s the offer. This expires at 11 pm EST on Friday, 11/3. Email me with any questions.Â
Let’s start your journey today!Â
