Last week, I started a gratefulness campaign. It’s a personal thing and my post explained that I’m trying to stay focused on the positive, while we go through a tough winter here in Boston. I know it’s not as tough as others around the country, but it’s pretty bad here. So, each day, I’m posting around something I’m grateful for and I’ll keep doing it until June 21, the first day of summer. After that, who knows? Maybe I’ll keep going. I’m already in the swing of it.
Today, I’m grateful for friends. I have many good friends; some I’ve had for years and some that I’ve met recently. I remember Jerry Seinfeld once said you have all the friends you’re going to have by the time you’re 35; I find that to be completely untrue. I continue to make some wonderful friends both from working and personal life. I find that as I get older, it’s easier to connect with people because I’m not stuck in the judgment that I was when I was younger. I find there is so much wisdom in people both older and younger than me. And I find that despite having friends, one of the toughest things to do is ask for help when you need it.
So today, I appreciate my friends. That you for sticking by me. I hope I can continue to support you in all that you do.
Peace.
