I am on the train to New York City today. I am assisting Tiffany Cruikshank at one of the 500 hour teacher training modules she  offers. This one is in NYC, at Pure Yoga and so I’ll be there for a few days. I’m a creature of habit and spend much of my time in and around the same parts of my neighborhood. I haven’t been a yoga teacher that travels a lot; there have been some personal reasons that have made that difficult. But when I do have opportunities to do it and it can work out, I do enjoy it.

Even though I love the learning, the change in routine can be stressful. On top of that, going to NYC, with all it’s electricity and action, ups the stakes even more. So this is my meditation for the week ahead: Stay Open to New Things and Adventure! I commit to relishing in “not knowing;” whether that’s around the subject matter, where I’ll be eating lunch or the adventure of taking the NYC subway. I commit to fully embracing it all.
